An ancient temple of the Soto sect, said to have been founded in 743 during the Nara period."Daitsuji Temple"
The Chisen Ornamental Garden on the north side of the Shoin, also known as Sekijuen, is a famous garden that was built by a local Yakage gardener over a long period of 21 years in the late Edo time period.
The head priest is friendly and will kindly teach you about the garden and zazen, so this is a secretly popular project that even beginners can participate in with confidence.
【Flow of zazen experience】
The zazen experience starts at 8am on the day of Checkout.
After breakfast, go to Daitsuji! It's about 5 minutes by car from Yakage-ya!
8:00 After receiving a lecture from the chief priest on how to sit, etc., experience zazen for about 20 minutes in the Zendo.
Unify your spirit and refresh your mind and body
Afterwards, please take your time to enjoy the famous Sekijuen garden.
