Online Credit Card Payment

This is a service that makes it possible for you to pay for lodging plans using a credit card by completing procedures online when making the reservation.
* The service is offered through the payment service provider SB Payment Service Corp. SB Payment Service notifies the credit card company of the payment, which is then charged to your credit card.
■ Scope of the online credit card payment service
The online credit card payment service can only be used for plans designated by facilities that use this service.
* The service cannot be used for all plans listed on this website.
The service can be used with plans that display the "Online Credit Card Payment Only" or "Online Credit Card Payment Possible" icon shown to the left in the Search Result window, etc.



■ Credit cards that can be used with the online credit card payment service
The online credit card payment service can be used with VISA, Mastercard, JCB, Diners, and AMERICAN EXPRESS (AMEX) cards and their partner cards.
Some cards cannot be used. You can check the Enter Credit Card Information window when making a reservation using the online credit card payment service.
■ Fees that can be paid for with online credit card payments and those that cannot
The online credit card payment service can be used for the total lodging plan price (tax and service included).

The service cannot be used to pay for items not included in the lodging plan price, such as local taxes (hot spring tax, etc.), additional food and beverages purchases made onsite, etc. These fees should be paid directly to the lodging at the time of your visit.
Check the Notes on Fees section of the Plan Details window for fees not included in the lodging plan.
■ Cardholder name
The cardholder does not need to be the representative of the party of guest who will actually stay at the lodging.
It is also possible for members of this website to use their cards to pay for plans and then give the stays to the guests as a present.
■ Number of installment payments
This service can only be used with a single payment. Payments cannot be made in installments.
In addition, the payment must be for the whole reservation, the total lodging plan price. Therefore, payments cannot be broken down even if the reservation is for multiple rooms and guests.
■ When payments are processed
With this service, the payment is processed in the following way. You complete the online credit card payment procedures when making the reservation, and then SB Payment Service Corp. passes on the payment information to the credit card company when the reservation is completed.

The payment deadline and when the fee is charged to the credit card depends on the credit card company. Contact the credit card company for details.

<Notes on changing reservations>
If a change in the reservation results in a lower lodging price, the amount for the original reservation is charged to your credit card, and then the difference due to the change in the reservation is refunded through the credit card at a later day.

<Notes on cancelling reservations>
「Cancellations that do not incur a cancellation fee based on the lodging's cancellation policy」
The amount of the reservation is charged to your credit card, and then the full payment is refunded through the credit card at a later day.

「Cancellations that incur a cancellation fee based on the lodging's cancellation policy」
The amount of the original reservation is charged to your credit card, and only if there is remainder after the cancellation fee is deducted is that remainder refunded through the credit card at a later day.
■ Credit card statement
"Jalan" is attached to the end of the item on the credit card statement because Recruit's ASP service is used.
The transaction date on the statement issued by the credit card company is the reservation date.
If a cancellation fee based on the lodging's cancellation policy is charged, the transaction date is the date of the cancellation.
■ Making reservations using the online credit card payment service
When entering the reservation information, you will jump to the window to enter the credit card information. Enter the credit card information there.

In various situations, such as entering incorrect information, using an expired card, or exceeding your credit limit, an error will be displayed, and the reservation will not be made.
If the Reservation Completion window is displayed after clicking the final reservation confirmation button, the reservation has been made, and the online payment procedures are complete.
■ Changing reservations
For reservations paid for using the online credit card payment service, it is possible to make the following changes that do not result in an increase in the original lodging plan price.

・ Check-in time
・ Check-in day (if the original reservation is for a consecutive-night stay)
・ Address of the representative of the party of guests
・ Phone number of the representative of the party of guests
・ Age group of the representative of the party of guests
・ Response to questions from the lodging (if the lodging has set questions)
・ Whether you want a pamphlet sent (If the lodging has this option)
・ Number of nights of your stay (only if the number of nights is less than that for the original reservation)
・ Number of rooms (only if the number of rooms is less than that for the original reservation)
・ Number of guests (only for changes that do not result in an increase in the number of rooms. If the reservation is for consecutive nights, it is only possible to change the number of guests if the number of guests is the same for all nights.)


※Changes to reservations should be made using the URL included in the email sent from the lodging after the reservation is made.
※ It is not possible to change the payment method, such as from online credit card payment to payment at time of visit.

To change the reservation in a way that cannot be done using the above procedures, it is necessary to redo the reservation (cancel the original reservation and then make a new reservation).

If the reservation change deadline has passed and it is not possible to redo the reservation online, you should phone the lodging directly.
■ Cancelling reservations
If you regrettably have to cancel your reservation for an unavoidable reason, you should complete the cancellation procedures. The reservation cancellation method depends on the timing.

(1) If the reservation change deadline has not passed
If the reservation change deadline has not passed, the reservation can be cancelled online.
Complete the cancellation procedures from Reservation Inquiry/Change/Cancellation.

(2) If the reservation change deadline has passed
If the reservation change deadline has passed, it is not possible to cancel the reservation online. Therefore, you should directly call the lodging and cancel the reservation.
■ Cancellation fee
A cancellation fee is charged by the lodging in line with its cancellation policy.

Depending on when the reservation is cancelled, a cancellation fee may be charged as stipulated in the lodging's cancellation policy.Check the reservation confirmation email or Reservation Details Confirmation window for details on the lodging's cancellation policy. If the lodging charges a cancellation fee in line with its cancellation policy, you must pay the fee.

If the lodging has set it so that cancellation fees can be paid by credit card, the cancellation may be charged to your credit card.

When completing the online cancellation procedures, the cancellation fee will be automatically calculated and displayed in the Cancellation Confirmation window. Therefore, you should check the amount and complete the cancellation procedures.Even if you cancel the reservation by directly calling the lodging, the lodging can charge the cancellation fee to the credit card.
* Check the cancellation fee actually charged by the lodging in the Receipt Data Display window.
If the lodging has set it so that cancellation fees can be paid by credit card, the cancellation fee will be automatically calculated in the following way.
● (lodging plan price minus consumption tax) x (cancellation fee rate stipulated in the lodging's cancellation policy)
 * The cancellation fee is not subject to consumption tax.
● Fractional amounts are dropped.
● For consecutive-night stays, the cancellation fee is the total of the cancellation fee for each night in line with the cancellation policy and based on when the reservation is cancelled.
Example: A reservation for three nights starting August 1, 2014, is cancelled on the check-in date (August 1)
The lodging may directly bill you for the cancellation fee without charging the credit card.You should contract the lodging directly for details on whether a cancellation fee is charged and how it is billed.
■ Viewing receipt information
If the online credit card payment service is used, it is possible to display the receipt information from the website once the reservation is made.

The receipt data gives the name SB Payment Service Corp., which provides the online credit card payment service. "Jalan.net" is given under the name of the lodging because Recruit's ASP service is used.

If displayed more than once, "Reissued (x)" (where x is the number of times reissued) is displayed.

※ The receipt data for the cancellation fee charged to the credit card can be displayed after the lodging bills it.
※ For reservations that are changed using a method other than online procedures, such contacting the lodging directly, the amount indicated on the receipt may not be the correct amount.
※ The amount given on the receipt data is the total price paid for the reservation.It is not possible to break down the total amount for a single reservation or the total for multiple reservations.


The service displays receipt data that it stores in electronic format.As for proof of the receipt details, there is no difference from traditional receipts. However, because it is an electronic document, a stamp tax is not charged even if it is printed.Users can decide themselves if they want to use the printed online display for accounting purposes, etc.
